Italy, here we come?
After thirty-four years of marriage and three children, my job is done. My last child graduated high school, is working full-time and has moved out. Now what? Ever since I was a child all I wanted to do was be a mommy. I never really planned for them to grow up and leave me. I put all of my hopes and dreams into them. Now I must carve out a life for myself.
My co-worker and I are planning a trip to Italy. We have chosen the cities we want to visit and the tour company we are going to use. The original trip was set for late October. We still need to order our passports. October is three months away and so far we have saved $34.00. Needless to say, we have changed the pending trip to June of next year. She has come up with a couple ways to raise money. In my mind I see Lucy and Ethel in the chocolate factory.
In the mean time, I am going to do some remodeling projects at my home. I want to repaint all of the rooms and change the flooring in the kitchen and the extra bedroom. I am pretty sure I am going to be using my Italy money to fund these projects.
